RE Concessionary travel for the over 60s.
I can see Scarborough is losing out financially with being a resort, but set against that is the benefit to residents who can get out and about more. Surely that can only be good for their health and well-being.

It would be interesting to know if this has any impact on the number of people needing to see doctors.

If it turns out fewer are suffering ill health or from depression due to this then maybe it's more cost effective than people realise.
