500 expected for walk

MORE than 500 men, women and children will take to the streets of Scarborough tonight for the town's first ever "Midnight Walk".
The 6.5 mile moonlit walk in aid of St Catherine’s Hospice will start and end in the grounds of the hospice in Throxenby Lane and participants will be able to stop off for refreshments en route at the Harbour Bar.

The walk is supported by the Evening News.

Walkers will come from all over the region to take part including Leeds, York and Doncaster.

The youngest participant will be eight and the oldest will be 78.

Hundreds of teams and individuals will take part including family groups, work colleagues, a slimming group and a darts team.
