Beginners' computer courses set to start

COMPUTER courses start at Falsgrave Community Resource Centre next week.
The courses, run by Yorkshire Coast College, are aimed at complete beginners and people with more developed skills in computing who want to improve and gain a recognised qualification.

Computing for Beginners runs for three hours a week for 10 wee
ks and is held on Wednesday mornings starting September 11.

The IT Workshop is on Wednesday afternoons from September 11 and includes a range of IT courses such as CLAiT, Word Processing and ECDL.

Jo Oliver, Community Learning Co-ordinator for Yorkshire Coast College, said: “Most people have access to a computer these days, so this is a fantastic opportunity for people to gain new skills which will allow them to get the most out of their equipment.

“Additionally, they can build upon your skills to gain an IT qualification which can help with career progression.

“When we ran these courses previously, we were delighted with the response as we had people of all ages join our class however places went like hot potatoes so I urge anyone interested to book their place immediately.”
