NORTH Yorkshire Fire and Rescue service crew have been called to more than 70 incidents involving flooding across the region in the last 24 hours.
The main areas they have been called to include Kirkbymoorside, Hawes and Catterick.
The types of incident include flooding in properties, people trapped in flood water in their vehicles as well as animals trapped by flood water in fields.
Twenty five flood warnings are in place, mostly in Hambleton and Richmond.
A spokesperson said: "We're monitoring it very closely. We would ask people not to drive through flood water. Only make journeys if absolutely necessary."
