THE two schools in Barrowcliff held their most successful Christmas fair ever, raising £1,500.
The Friends of Barrowcliff Schools organised the event which was attended by more than 250 people.

It was held in the infant and nursery school and stalls included a tombola, cakes, books and toys and fun games for the children.

There was also a Santa’s grotto which dozens of children visited.

The money will be used to buy playground equipment for the infant and nursery school and junior school.

Chairman of the friends’ group Sue Thompson said: “It went really well and it was our most successful Christmas fair.

“It was lovely to see so many people there and there was a really nice atmosphere.

“We want to thank everyone who helped and came to the event.”
