DRAMA students from Scarborough Sixth Form College visited Scalby School to perform a self-devised theatre piece.
The group of A-level students have created six original pieces and they performed Virtual Word 3000 at Scalby School as it is aimed at secondary school pupils.

The students then held a workshop, teaching the Scalby pupils different scenes from the piece.

Virtual World 3000 tells the story of a computer-addicted teenager who becomes increasingly isolated from the real world and his friends.

Teacher Michelle Harriott said: “The event was extremely well received by the students who remarked positively on the exciting action-based movement scenes and clearly understood the messages and storyline of the piece.

“The younger students were keen to take part in a practical workshop in which they worked with sixth formers, learning some of the moves from the action scenes and putting them to music.

“The sixth formers really enjoyed the experience and have been invited back to perform the piece to other classes at Scalby School.”
